Did you attend this years Mother: The Summit? If so, you may have noticed all the amazing graphics vinyls provided by Elana Hopman owner of the full service Calligraphy and Fine Paper goods company Annabel Reese. On this week's podcast we sit down with Elana to discuss the obstacles and transitions that came after stepping into motherhood. Struggling with postpartum depression after the birth of both of her daughters, Elana felt like she wasn't giving 100% in all areas. Like so many of us, she was running around essentially doing it all but feeling like she wasn't doing it well. With a longing to feel fulfilled and a need for flexibility with in her career Elana started seeking advice from family members. Discovering a passion for calligraphy while attending classes during her time living in NYC as a way to distress, Elana took her skills and decided to turn her then "hobby" into business. Giving birth to her second daughter during the infancy of entrepreneurship, Elana offers mom's a raw insight to both the struggles and wins of owning your own business, being your own boss, and participating in daycare pick up and drop off all while navigating motherhood in tandem.
